Take Claratyne® with a glass of water. It does not matter if you take Claratyne® before or after food.
Should I take Claratyne® with food?
Claratyne® can be taken with or without food.
Can I cut or break Claratyne® in half?

Can I take more than the recommended dose of Claratyne®?

What if my symptoms return before I am supposed to take another dose?
Do not take another dose. Always follow the directions on the label. If symptoms persist after 5 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Can Claratyne® be used during pregnancy?
If you are pregnant, please consult with your doctor before starting Claratyne® or if you become pregnant while you are taking Claratyne®.
Can Claratyne® be used during breastfeeding?
We recommend that breastfeeding women consult with their doctor before starting Claratyne®.

Claratyne® tablets are available in 5 and 10 tablets in major supermarkets and select convenience stores. Claratyne® tablets are available in 5, 10, 30, 60 and 80 tablets in pharmacy.
Can I chew a Claratyne® tablet?
Please swallow the tablet whole.

What is the difference between Aerius for Children syrup and Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup?
Aerius for Children syrup has been rebranded to Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup. The formulation has not changed, Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup is the same as Aerius for Children syrup, just with a new name and look. Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup and Aerius for Children syrup contains the active ingredient, desloratadine 2.5 mg/5 mL.
Both Aerius for Children and Children’s ClaratyneDES syrups are indicated for perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis (hayfever and year round allergies) in adults, adolescents and children aged 12 months and over; and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 months and over.
Can I give my child both Children’s Claratyne syrup (loratadine) and Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup (desloratadine)?
Children’s Claratyne syrup contains the active ingredient loratadine and Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup contains the active ingredient desloratadine. Both products are indicated for the relief of perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis (hayfever and year round allergies) and provide 24 hour relief. Only one product should be used daily as necessary, they should not be used at the same time.

Can I still buy Aerius for Children syrups or have Aerius for Children syrups been discontinued?
Aerius for Children Syrup has been rebranded to Children’s ClaratyneDES Syrup. The formulation has not changed, Children’s ClaratyneDES syrup is the same as Aerius for Children syrup, just with a new name and look. Children’s ClaratyneDES syrups and Aerius for Children syrups contain the active ingredient, desloratadine 2.5 mg/5 mL.
Aerius for Children syrups will appear in market until stock has been depleted. Once stock has been depleted, Aerius for Children syrup will no longer be available in Australia and will be replaced by Children’s ClaratyneDES Syrup.

Claratyne Saline Nasal Spray is suitable for adults and children 15 days of age and older.
What does Isotonic mean?
